Principal/Senior Principal Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineer

As a Principal/Senior Principal Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineer, you will play a crucial role in our Mission Modeling, Simulation & Analysis team. Your expertise will contribute to developing advanced models and simulations of platforms, sensors, weapons, and assessing their performance within various environments. This is an on-site position based in Baltimore, MD.
Key Responsibilities:- Utilize advanced Modeling, Simulation, Experimentation, and Analysis (MSE&A) techniques with C++ object-oriented design and test-driven development.
- Analyze large data sets and apply statistical methods, including design of experiment techniques, to evaluate system and mission performance.
- Integrate modeling and simulation efforts with operational flight software, and verify the model performance against actual flight test data.
- Produce high-quality reports that establish simulation credibility and support simulation Verification, Validation, and Accreditation (VVA).
- Innovate solutions to enhance MSE&A products and perform operational analysis and mission effectiveness studies.
- Develop and integrate system simulation frameworks, performance models, threat models, and command and control models.
- Conduct trade studies through computer simulation and recommend alternative architectures.
- Simulate real-time operations and develop software to mimic system behaviors.
- Create and utilize advanced graphical user interfaces and visualization tools.
- U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD Secret clearance are required.
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field with relevant experience (5 years for Principal; 8 years for Senior Principal).
- Experience in programming languages such as C/C++, Python, Bash, or C shell scripting within Linux and Windows environments.
- Experience in simulations of RF, EOIR, Communications, or related systems.
- Proficiency in analytical modeling approaches using MATLAB.
- Active Top Secret DoD Clearance.
- Advanced degrees in relevant technical fields and experience with real-time simulation software applications.
- Familiarity with statistics, design of experiments, and high-performance computing.
- Experience with radar mode validation and adaptive signal processing.
- Understanding of Systems Engineering processes and Agile methodologies.
