Job Description - Chicago, IL (Hybrid)

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical individual to join our team as an Analyst. The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative research skills and a solid understanding of financial concepts. This role involves conducting thorough financial analysis, preparing reports, and utilizing various financial software to support decision-making processes within the organization. The Analyst will play a crucial role in data collection and financial modeling to ensure accurate assessments of our financial standing.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quantitative research to analyze financial data and trends.
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports that clearly communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Utilize financial software for data analysis and reporting purposes.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to project future performance.
  • Collect and organize data from various sources to support analysis efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and provide analytical support.
  • Stay updated on financial regulations, tax laws, and industry standards that may impact the organization.
  • Assist in litigation support by providing necessary financial documentation and analysis when required.

Qualifications

  • This position requires a Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field from a four-year college or university or equivalent professional knowledge and/or work experience.
  • One year of prior professional accounting or finance experience.
  • Proficiency in financial software and tools used for analysis and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of financial concepts, including tax implications and compliance.
  • Experience in financial report writing with attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform thorough financial analysis with a focus on accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration with team members.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.

Skills:

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and with a team.
  • Intermediate skills in Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat are a plus.
  • Thorough understanding of finance concepts
  • Candidate must have good analytical skills and problem-solving skills.
