Position: Financial Analyst (Chicago, Illinois)

Position Summary: HYPER Valuation Services (HVS) is a boutique business looking for qualified candidates that are interested in getting in on the ground floor and growing with the company. The Financial Analyst is an entry-level position focused on skills development. Candidates will be provided with on-the-job training by a professional, experienced appraiser, learning how to evaluate and analyze inventory data for financial reporting and asset-based loans. Ideal candidates have an interest in business and finance, and would be eager to learn and grow in this position and within a boutique, growing company. This position is located in Chicago with hybrid working conditions.

Position Duties:

·       Interpret and analyze data, develop assessment of inventory values, and submit findings;

·       Assist team with on-site inventory inspections when needed;

·       Discuss with client business trends and factors affecting inventory, take notes and photos of on-site inventory assets;

·       Receive and put client-provided information into standardized format in Excel; and

·       Work with report Writer to develop final report.

Skills/Qualifications:

·       Bachelor’s Degree required;

·       Strong Microsoft Excel skills:

·       Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook, and general skills with Internet/Intranet usage and ability to learn proprietary software;

·       Ability to read and interpret financial statements:

·       Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and oral, as well as an ability to interact professionally with all levels of management;

·       Tenacious self-starter, extremely organized and detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy;

·       Ability to work both independently and within a team;

·       Candidate must have own vehicle and valid driver’s license; and

·       Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
