Senior Endpoint Consultant: Lead Assessor (Contract) Contract Duration: 3 Weeks (Remote) Start Date: Targeting late 2025 (flexible based on candidate availability) Future Opportunities: Additional short-term consulting projects anticipated About The Role F2OnSite is seeking a Senior Endpoint Consultant to lead an enterprise Endpoint Management Optimization Assessment. This is a short-term consulting engagement focused on analyzing, rationalizing, and optimizing a large organization’s endpoint agent environment. The consultant will assess existing endpoint tools, identify redundancies, and develop strategic recommendations to streamline management, reduce complexity, and modernize the endpoint technology stack. This is a remote project requiring strong technical expertise, analytical skills, and the ability to communicate findings to both technical and executive stakeholders. This engagement is an excellent fit for consultants who specialize in endpoint management, cybersecurity, or IT operations, and who enjoy high-impact, well-defined project work. Key Responsibilities Conduct a comprehensive assessment of existing endpoint management tools and agents.Validate agent presence, versioning, coverage, and operational status across environments.Review architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and operational processes.Lead stakeholder interviews to understand current-state usage and value. Categorize agents by function (visibility, control, remediation, privilege management, telemetry, etc.).Identify overlapping functionalities and inefficiencies.Evaluate strategic fit based on coverage, integration, scalability, vendor alignment, and operational overhead. Propose a consolidated, cost-effective agent stack that meets security and operational goals.Develop replacement strategies for legacy tools and migration considerations.Create a staged roadmap for rationalization and cloud-native modernization (e.g., transition to Intune).Provide recommendations for training, communication, and adoption governance. Produce executive-level summaries, process maps, and technology alignment matrices.Present findings and recommendations to project stakeholders.Collaborate with project management and technical teams to ensure clarity and consistency in deliverables. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Cybersecurity (Master’s preferred).7+ years of experience in endpoint management, cybersecurity, or IT operations.Proven background with agent-based tools such as SCCM/MECM, Tanium, Intune, CyberArk EPM, Forescout, Sophos, Absolute, or SecureONE.Demonstrated success in tool rationalization, migration planning, or endpoint optimization projects.Strong analytical and documentation skills; capable of producing executive-ready deliverables.Excellent communication and leadership skills for working across distributed, remote teams.Relevant certifications preferred (Microsoft Endpoint Administrator, CISSP, CISM, Tanium Certified Operator, CyberArk Defender, etc.).
