TERRITORY Northwest US & Canada West – or otherwise designated. The candidate must be located in one of the U.S. territories of either Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, or New Mexico. Primary U.S. territories of responsibility include Alaska, Hawaii, Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and New Mexico. Primary Western Canadian provinces include Ontario, Quebec, Newfoundland & Labrador, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island. JOB DESCRIPTION Responsible for growing the business within the Northeastern territory via prospecting, cold calling and expanding the customer base. Build upon existing account relationships to maximize new business opportunities. Analyze competitive activities and trends in the territory while assessing opportunities for business growth. Secure meetings with potential and existing customers to target new and expanded product offerings. Attend relevant industry events, trade shows and conferences to connect with customers, end-users and to strengthen knowledge base regarding the industry. Provide market information and insights; create reports & recaps, forecasts, customer call planning, etc. as required by Sales leadership. Manage travel and expense-related activities in accordance with annual budget. The job criteria may include other duties, responsibilities, and activities, which may change or be assigned at any time with or without notice. REQUIREMENTS Five or more years of sales experience with a minimum of three years in the field of sign and graphics industry or digital printing. BS degree in business preferred. Travel: 50-60% CORE COMPETENCIES Results-driven with a proven history of opening new distributors and developing a territory. Articulate and concise communication skills; ability to write and convey ideas clearly and professionally. Adept at communicating when selling ideas at various levels in a company’s organization. Success in consistently growing a business and meeting sales goals. Active listening skills, along with attention to detail and reliable follow-through. Effective closing skills. Strong commitment to customer satisfaction. Proven track record in regional/market growth through a distributor network (i.e. product penetration/product expansion). Presentation and persuasion skills – ability to present ideas, concepts and conduct training in a professional manner. Identify opportunities, develop a sales pipeline, and successfully execute a plan. Consistently follow up and use information to generate new business within the account. Build a bottoms up sales plan and forecast accurately. Expand distribution within the designated territory. Work in a team environment and foster collaboration. Develop and grow multi-level relationships within an account. Strategic and efficient with customer call planning cycles across territory geographies and time zones. Professional demeanor and credibility. Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Knowledge or experience with Salesforce or other CRM platform is desired.
