Purpose of Position The Pilot provides a superior air transportation experience with an unrivaled safety record. Serving as the face of NetJets, the Pilot delivers both technical flight proficiency and exceptional service to every NetJets owner and passenger, wearing many hats from aviator to in‑flight service provider while maintaining professional demeanor and full command of the aircraft. Tasks and Responsibilities Safe operation of the aircraft from taxi, take‑off and landing per FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, NetJets Flight Operations Manual (FOM) or Aircraft Operating Manual (AOM), and SOPs; greet owners/passengers pre‑flight, provide introductions, brief them on the trip, offer weather updates and safety briefings, and explain any itinerary changes. Deliver in‑flight service as needed, including handling alcohol and catering. Load and properly stow all baggage on the aircraft. Handle flights for owners with pets and those who smoke. Serve as the final authority on all aspects of aircraft operation, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidance. Act as liaison between owners/passengers and NetJets from arrival at the FBO to final landing and departure from the last FBO. Communicate any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies to the Company via the Maintenance Control Center (MCC) and complete required paperwork. Perform other duties as assigned depending on the assignment. Education High School Certifications and Licenses Written FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) and First Class Medical Certificate Years of Experience Not Specified Core Competencies Adaptability Collaboration Strives for Positive Results Service‑Oriented Curiosity Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Other (KSAOs) At least 21 years of age 1,500 hours total flight time OR 1,250 hours with approved R‑ATP certificate OR 1,000 hours with military pilot qualification OR 1,000 hours with university R‑ATP certificate 200 hours cross‑country (>50 nm) flight time 250 hours fixed‑wing PIC 100 hours of night flying, or 75 hours with ≥45 night take‑offs and landings 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated in‑flight, excluding simulator time) ATP written completed prior to start of Induction Training 50 hours fixed‑wing, multi‑engine time Current FAA First‑Class Medical certificate FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit Valid passport Authorized to work in the U.S. and travel in and out of the country without restriction Able to work varying hours, including day, night, weekdays, weekends and holidays; flexible to rapid changes Manage rest to be prepared for flight duty at all times Duty may last for up to fourteen hours per day, up to eight days, spanning time zones and extreme weather differences May be away from home for seven or more consecutive days and nights in hotels Secure appropriate airport authority and/or U.S. Customs security badges; pass TSA background screening Valid State driver’s license Read, write, fluently speak and understand English Service‑oriented with neat, well‑groomed appearance; strong ability to interact with passengers Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially under pressure Make quick, accurate decisions with attention to detail Physical ability to exert up to 50 lb occasionally, up to 30 lb frequently, and up to 10 lb constantly Work around animals and handle their care before, during and after owner flights Conduct flights for owners who smoke Base Salary Range $86,015 – $117,706 How NetJets Supports You NetJets offers a comprehensive, no‑cost benefits package designed to support your mind, body, and life.
