Job Summary

CHS Inc. is a leading global agribusiness that provides grain, food, and energy resources to businesses and consumers worldwide. We are seeking a skilled Crop Applicator/Truck Driver to join our team in Stevensville, MT, and Drummond, MT.

This is a full-time position that requires the ability to work independently and manage time effectively in the field. As a Crop Applicator/Truck Driver, you will be responsible for applying fertilizer and crop protection products, managing customer relationships, and ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply fertilizer and crop protection products using high-clearance sprayers or floaters.
  • Pick up and deliver products to customers as needed.
  • Work with customers in a courteous and professional manner to educate them on products and techniques.
  • Assist the sales staff in ensuring orders are correct and customer needs are met.
  • Perform warehouse work, including driving a loader, forklift, and performing maintenance tasks.
  • Lift and load products, up to 1-2 hours per day.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulations, including pre-trip and post-trip reporting, load securement, and hours of service.
  • Maintain cleanliness of vehicles and work environment.
  • Complete and document daily maintenance inspections.
Requirements
  • Knowledge of agriculture production, operations, and/or agriculture application.
  • Must meet minimum age requirement.
  • Maintain or obtain a CDL and DOT medical card.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
  • Ability to work additional hours, be available for overnight stays, and occasional weekends to meet business demands.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs.
  • Ability to climb rail cars, ladders, stairs, and bins, and into the back of a trailer.
  • Ability to work in dust and adverse weather conditions and temperatures.
