Facilities Maintenance position 

We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join our Facilities Maintenance team. Responsible for the set-up, breakdown and security for events and programs and for cleaning and maintaining our landmark building in New York City. 

Responsibilities: 

Program Activity:

  • Set-up and breakdown for programs in preparation for conferences, meetings, and events - including tables, chairs, podium, and heavy lifting of platforms. 
  • Provide other program support – security (when needed) and clean-up before, after and during an event. 
     

General Building Maintenance:

  • Maintain and clean all spaces throughout the building.
  • Maintain and clean exterior sidewalks, entrance, rear yard, and surrounding areas.
  • Snow removal of sidewalks during winter months.  
  • Responsible for opening and closing of building and security systems.  
  • Maintenance and repairs of the building. Ensuring that the building is in a state of good repair, and that any emergencies and conditions are addressed and reported immediately. 
  • Maintenance and cleaning of roof, balcony and basement drains.
  • Ensuring that all building systems, including HVAC, security, elevator fire systems and other mechanical systems are in good working order, serviced and maintained.   
  • Set-up offices including moving boxes, furniture, filing cabinets, etc.
  • Assembling office furniture, painting and other repairs as required. 
  • Moving boxes, equipment, and furniture as needed.
  • Restocking of supplies. 
  • Internal and external deliveries.
  • Trash and recycling removal. 
  • Other maintenance duties.

Front Desk: 

  • Providing relief for receptionists as needed. 

Other job duties as assigned.
