This is a team leader position for a licensed architect with strong project management skills and deep technical knowledge. You will take full ownership of projects—from early design concepts through construction administration—while mentoring staff, leading client relationships, and ensuring the highest quality of work.Key ResponsibilitiesManage all phases of architectural projects from Programming through Construction AdministrationLead internal teams and coordinate with clients, consultants, and contractorsEnsure compliance with building codes, regulations, and contractual agreementsOversee and partake in production of construction documents and specifications with high technical accuracyReview and manage quality control, schedules, and budgetsAddress constructability, cost control, and risk management proactivelyClient and Business DevelopmentServe as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycleDevelop and maintain professional relationships and project opportunitiesSupport marketing efforts, including proposal development and presentationsCollaborate with firm leadership on strategic planning and positioningMentorship and Team SupportProvide mentorship, training, and coaching to junior staffPromote a positive, collaborative, and efficient work environmentQualificationsBachelor's or Master’s degree in ArchitectureMinimum 10 years of professional experience, including 5+ years managing projects and teamsProven success managing multiple projects simultaneouslyStrong understanding of design principles, detailing, and building systemsAdvanced proficiency in Revit and AutoCADProficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)Strong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to manage client expectations and deliver exceptional servicePreferred ExperienceFamiliarity with the permitting process in Louisiana and the Gulf SouthExperience in sectors such as education, healthcare, industrial, and commercial architectureBackground in business development or proposal writingKnowledge of construction contract negotiation and administrationWhat We OfferCompetitive salary based on experienceHealth, dental, and vision insurance401(k) with employer matchPaid time off and holidaysProfessional development support and continuing education opportunitiesCollaborative work culture and modern office environmentOpportunities to grow into firm leadership rolesAbout LACHIN Architects, apcLACHIN Architects is a third-generation firm with over 70 years of family experience delivering high-quality, buildable architectural solutions throughout Greater New Orleans and the Gulf South.
