Our client, a leading provider of low voltage technology solutions, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Low Voltage Technology Lead to join their dynamic team in Houston, Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering technical expertise and leadership across a range of low voltage projects, including structured cabling, audio-visual systems, security systems, and telecommunications. This is an excellent opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively with a talented team, providing innovative solutions for diverse clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, installation, and maintenance of low voltage systems, including structured cabling, AV, security, and telecommunications.
  • Oversee project planning, ensuring that all phases from concept to completion are executed efficiently and within budget.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to project managers, engineers, technicians, and clients, ensuring the successful implementation of low voltage solutions.
  • Conduct site assessments and develop detailed system designs tailored to client requirements and industry standards.
  • Prepare comprehensive technical reports and documentation, including system designs, specifications, and installation guidelines.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure projects meet all relevant regulations and standards.
  • Attend project meetings, offering expert technical input and ensuring seamless communication between all parties involved.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in low voltage systems, and implement improvements as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Over 5 years of experience in low voltage systems design, installation, and project management.
  • Strong expertise in structured cabling, audio-visual systems, security systems, and telecommunications.
  • Proficient in industry-standard design software and tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a keen eye for detail.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to lead projects and work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
