WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As a Sales Account Executive in Sustainable Solutions Corporation (SSC), you are responsible for increasing SSC's revenues by developing new and existing clients for our sustainable business services. To be successful in this position, you will need to gain a thorough understanding of our services (life cycle assessment, LEED certification, waste diversion, energy audits, and sustainable operation assessments), maintain healthy growing client relationships, and collaborate across business functions, specifically working with our operations team to develop project scopes and estimates. All roles at SSC will demonstrate our core values of Passion (for sustainability), Integrity, Respect, and Resourcefulness.
What you are accountable for:
- Develop new accounts and achieve Sales targets for SSC services
- Strategically engage customers with the view of building key relationships and creating the foundation for consulting sales; translating client needs to appropriate services
- Lead generation and pipeline management
- Close opportunities in a timely and managed process
- Collaboration across SSC's stakeholders within the various teams to develop budgets and scope of work
- Ensure quality control and accuracy of CRM records
- Focus on helping others to reach team goals - working as a team is key
- Give 100% to each project - go above and beyond with all clients
- Bring out the best of everyone - encourage all to be great
- Bachelor's Degree in Science, Environmental Science, Engineering, Construction management preferred
- 3-5+ years sales experience or more in manufacturing, building construction, environmental or sustainability field
- A passion for sales and competency in positioning services at "C" levels within organizations
- Ability to build relationships through education and ability to sell technical sustainability strategies
- Understanding of sustainability industry pricing models
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client accounts
- Demonstrated ability to generate over $2 million+ in sales per year
- Demonstrated ability to generate sales leads
- Experience using CRMs to manage contracts, leads, and deals
- Preference for sustainable operations and/or LEED building experience
- Strong presentation and technical writing skills
- Self-starter with ability to learn on the job
- Strong computer skills- proficiency in Excel and Powerpoint
- This is a remote position with occasional work travel and on-site collaborative meetings as needed
- This role ranges from $85-100k/year base salary with additional commission structure. Your starting salary can fluctuate based on experience.
