We currently have an opening for our Parts Delivery Driver position.
Summary/ Objective:
Parts Delivery is responsible for pickup and delivery of parts and merchandise to and from the customer and supplier locations in accordance with dealership and corporate established goals.
Essential Job Functions:
* Maintains excellent customer service
* Follows all rules and regulations in accordance with state and local laws to ensure the safe operation of a vehicle
* Responsible for adhering to rules of conduct while at the customer, or supplier location including all posted driving signs
* Perform necessary maintenance on delivery vehicle as suggested by manufacturer
* Must maintain an insurable driving record in accordance
* Meets all goals and objectives including but not limited to department goals, personal goals
* Ensures that the work area is kept clean this includes company vehicle
* Follows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherences to timekeeping standards
* Follows the Code of Business Ethics and Conduct
* Understands and follows all work rules and follows directions from Supervisors
* Upholds the companys non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements.
* Maintains a professional appearance for self and subordinates
* Attends pertinent training on request
* Attends company meetings as required.
* Other duties as assigned
SUPPORTIVE FUNCTIONS
Assist in other areas as required. Must stay current on company product line. Ability to work when scheduled. Comply with company policies and procedures not to exclude safety regulations. Abide by security procedures. Responsible for care of equipment.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY
Skill in computer operations needed. Ability to listen and communicate with customers and co-workers. Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations. Ability to make decisions. Knowledge of accounting and sales. Ability to read and understand parts catalogs, service manuals and schematics. Knowledge of company products.
PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
This position is located in the office, warehouse and shop area. Exposure to dirt, dust, cold, and heat. Mobility of walking, standing, kneeling, and bending is frequent. Ability to operate all necessary equipment. Dexterity, hearing, and talking requirements are constant. Visual ability to observe and read is frequent. The employee will occasionally lift up to and over 80 pounds. Exposure to noise, fumes, and odors several times per week. Employee is exposed to mechanical, chemical, electrical, and fire hazards on a regular basis.
QUALIFICATIONS STANDARDS
Education
A high school diploma and/or GED is required. Additional training in automotive paint and body is preferred.
Licenses or Certificates
A valid drivers license is required.
Appearance/Uniforms
All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. (Specific standards available)
Normal Hours of Work: 8 A.M. until 5 P.M., Monday through Friday. Subject to change by Direct Supervisor and/or upper Management. Overtime may be required with or without notice. Traveling may be required.
