Facility Overview
At Ocean View Psychiatric Health Facility, we are passionate about serving as a community resource to provide the highest quality inpatient services. Ocean View is currently a 39-bed voluntary acute in-patient facility for patients 18 years and older, offering private rooms and individualized care using a multi-disciplinary approach focused on compassionate care and best practices. We successfully expanded our facility to include a PHP and IOP. Additionally, we are in the process of growing our Long Beach facility to 80 beds and will be developing to new locations in Southern California soon.
Environmental Services Custodian Position Overview
Pay: $21/ Hour
Ocean View Environmental Services Custodian staff play crucial roles on our team. Under the supervision of the Maintenance Manager, EVS Custodian perform a variety of tasks to ensure that the facility is in a clean, orderly, sanitary, and attractive condition. Staff ensure a safe and clean environment according to OSHA standards. Sweeps, mops, vacuums, buffs, strips, waxes, shampoos, and cleans floor surfaces. Cleans and dusts furniture, closets, telephones, vents and scour, polish and sanitize sinks, counters, stainless surfaces and waste receptacles. Empties waste receptacles; cleans solid waste containers. Washes windows and walls; may remove draperies, rugs, and other bulky items. Moves and arranges furniture as needed for cleaning or presentation purposes. Reports defective furniture and equipment for needed repairs to the Supervisor. Maintains essential equipment and utility closet in a clean and orderly manner. Perform tasks using appropriate infection control techniques.

Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Six (6) months janitorial/housekeeping experience in a hospital, hotel, motel or similar work environment preferred. Ability to interact and communicate both verbally and in writing with seriously and persistently mentally ill Patients, other staff members, physicians and the public (including vendors).
- Bilingual English/Spanish+.
