Responsibilities Coordinate surgical services activities and tasks in support of patient care. * Coordinate the clinical patient care of surgical services. * Serve as a technical or functional resource for staff and perform similar patient care duties. * Assign, monitor and review progress of work. * Monitor and report compliance with policies and procedures. * Coordinate shift operations including scheduling, assigned activities, and resources. * Evaluate and oversee orientation and training of assigned associates. * May provide input in the review and evaluation of staff performance. * Oversee utilization and maintenance of supplies, instruments, and equipment. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: * BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. * Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Education: * Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
