About the Role

This is a full-time, on-site position at Rivers Edge Hospital.

Job Summary

The Surgical Services Materials Coordinator works within the surgical services department and closely with Materials Management. This role will also work closely with providers and Surgical Services staff to ensuring all provider and departmental needs are met in a timely and accurate manner to support patient care and surgery schedule.

Key Responsibilities
  • Actively research needs, purchases, inventories, continuously monitors inventory counts and expiration dates of supplies in order to assure inventory is available when needed.
  • Coordinate with Health Care Industry Representatives to ensure surgical instrument and equipment special requests are met.
  • Work to standardize supply requisition and dispensing.
  • Maintain the computer inventory control system, researching and correcting errors, and auditing inventory transactions.
