Location: Amesbury, MA
Duration: 6 month Contract. Temp to perm potential for right candidate and depending on client's pipeline
Pay Range: Contract hourly $45 - $55/hr
Target start date / availability: November 4, 2024
Split between 2 sites in Amesbury, MA and Berwick, ME. Schedule to be determined, but potentially 3 days per week in Amesbury and 2 days per week in Berwick. Amesbury is a rooftop solar project and Berwick is ground mount.
Overview: As the on-site Construction Manager for our solar project, you will be responsible for overseeing all construction activities related to the installation, and commissioning of the system. You will play a critical role in ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards. This role involves coordinating with various stakeholders, including subcontractors, engineers, suppliers, and regulatory authorities, to ensure seamless project execution from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Construction Oversight:
- Supervise all construction activities on-site, including site preparation, racking and panel installation, electrical wiring, and system testing.
- Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and project requirements.
- Project Planning and Scheduling:
- Develop detailed construction plans, schedules, and budgets in coordination with project stakeholders.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and challenges to ensure project milestones are achieved on time.
- Resource Management:
- Coordinate labor, equipment, and materials procurement to support project timelines and budgetary requirements.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure adherence to project specifications and quality standards.
- Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC):
- Implement QA/QC processes to monitor construction quality and identify any deviations from project plans or specifications.
- Address non-conformities promptly and implement corrective actions to maintain quality standards.
- Stakeholder Communication:
- Report to the lead project manager, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and milestones.
- Coordinate closely with engineering teams, subcontractors, and clients to address any design changes or project modifications.
- Safety Management:
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols to maintain a safe working environment for all personnel on-site.
- Conduct safety training sessions and enforce safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience, 4+ years in construction management, with a focus on renewable energy or solar projects (Preferred)
- Strong understanding of construction techniques, processes, and best practices.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and standards governing solar energy projects preferred
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- OSHA certification or equivalent safety training (preferred).
