Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop defense strategies for clients in commercial and municipal defense litigation.
  • Analyze all claims and defenses in litigation cases.
  • Collaborate with clients, senior attorneys, and partners to develop case strategies and solutions.
  • Draft and argue motions, including motions to dismiss, discovery motions, summary disposition/judgment motions.
  • Draft and respond to discovery requests.
  • Conduct and defend depositions.
  • Participate in pre-trial and trial preparation.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, ensuring transparency and timely updates on case progress.


Preferred Qualifications

  • 3-4 years of experience in litigation, with a focus on commercial litigation and municipal defense.
  • Strong track record in drafting and arguing motions, handling discovery, and depositions.
  • Some trial experience preferred but not required.
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Book of business is a plus.
  • Education
  • J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Active member of the Michigan Bar in good standing.
