The Opportunity

CareFirst is committed to excellence in patient care and customer service. We are currently seeking a PRN MRI Technologist to join our team in Cape Coral.

Responsibilities

Utilize magnetic resonance for the purpose of detecting pathology
Perform MRI and MRA, as directed by a clinic provider.
Operate equipment safely
Maintain the safety and integrity of the MRI suites
Establish and maintain a good rapport and professional relationships with fellow employees, other departments and medical staff
Assist other modalities, such as X-ray and front desk as needed

Education and Experience

Knowledge of MRI quality control procedures and the ability to troubleshoot problems with equipment or exams
ARRT RT (R)(MR) with current license Required
Expert phlebotomist for IV contrast injections
CPR/BLS
Experience in a physician's office, clinic or other health care setting is strongly preferred
Knowledge of medical terminology and diagnosis/procedure coding desired
Capable of operating or learning to operate automated systems and other office equipment
Must possess strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills'
