DESCRIPTION: The Associate Director of FP&A and Strategic Finance at Fortitude Mining will play a key strategic and analytical role in supporting the CFO across corporate finance, investment, and operational initiatives. The position manages financial planning and analysis projects and provides in‑depth analytical and strategic support across Fortitude Mining and its parent company, DCG. The ideal candidate brings financial acumen, strategic thinking, and experience spanning data center infrastructure, power and energy assets, crypto, and fintech. Location: Fairport NY, Stamford CT, Chicago IL – Preferred Key Responsibilities: Partner directly with the CFO on financial strategy, capital planning, and investment initiatives across Fortitude Mining’s operations and subsidiaries. Lead and support strategic financial analysis efforts across the company, ensuring alignment with business and investment objectives. Oversee financial planning efforts across budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and variance analysis. Own detailed financial modeling, valuation, and profitability analyses, presenting insights and recommendations to the CFO, senior leadership, and DCG. Play a central role in Fortitude’s data‑center acquisition and development initiatives, including: Evaluating greenfield build opportunities and modeling returns under various power and infrastructure assumptions. Supporting real‑estate site acquisition analyses and financial due diligence. Assisting in structuring and evaluating joint‑venture partnerships with large independent power producers (IPPs) and strategic infrastructure partners. Support capital deployment decisions and portfolio strategy through in‑depth project economics, sensitivity analysis, and long‑range planning. Collaborate cross‑functionally with investment, operations, and technology teams to develop financial frameworks that optimize growth, performance, and capital efficiency. Manage and track ongoing financial projects, ensuring deadlines and deliverables are met with precision. Provide financial insights and strategic recommendations to guide decision‑making at the executive and board level. Support ad‑hoc strategic projects including M&A, capital raising, and capital allocation initiatives. Ensure robust internal controls and accurate, timely financial reporting. Stay current with trends in crypto, fintech, energy, and infrastructure investing and public comparable companies to provide forward‑looking financial and strategic guidance. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field (advanced degree or CFA/CPA designation preferred). 5+ years of experience in investment banking, strategic finance/consulting, FP&A, or private equity. Exposure to crypto, power, infrastructure, or data center investing is strongly preferred. Exceptional financial modeling and valuation skills with experience in complex deal and project analysis. Strong strategic thinking and analytical capabilities with a creative approach to problem‑solving. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present insights and recommendations to senior executives. Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in fast‑paced, cross‑functional environments. Proficiency in financial software (NetSuite), Excel, and data analysis tools. Experience with crypto or blockchain‑related financial systems is a plus. Experience working in a fast‑pace, start‑up environment – with a high sense of urgency, adaptability, and comfort with ambiguity.
