Albin, Randall & Bennett (ARB), a full-service public accounting, tax, and advisory firm based in Portland, Maine, is seeking a strategic and self-driven Human Resources Manager to lead our human resources (HR) initiatives, contribute to our positive workplace culture, and champion our greatest asset - our people. As the HR Manager: You will play a key role in shaping the employee experience and driving the firm’s talent acquisition and retention strategy. This is a dynamic, high-impact position ideally suited for a self-starter who thrives in both strategic and hands-on roles. You’ll work closely with firm leadership and employees to deliver results across HR benefits, talent acquisition, and employee relations.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic HR initiatives aligned with the firm’s short and long-term business objectives. Lead the implementation of and champion the success of a new HRIS. Oversee the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, posting, interviewing, and hiring top talent. Lead and continuously improve the firm’s onboarding and offboarding processes to ensure seamless employee experience.

Develop and implement HR policies and procedures in compliance with all applicable labor laws and regulations. Partner with firm leadership to manage employee relations and foster a positive, inclusive, and high performing workplace. Manage and administer employee benefits programs to support employee satisfaction and retention. Collaborate with our Controller to administer payroll.

Maintain accurate and confidential HR records in accordance with legal and organization standards. Champion a culture of continuous improvement, employee engagement, and team collaboration Required Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated experience in HR compliance and talent acquisition. Strong understanding of HR best practices, employment law, and regulatory requirements Proven ability to work independently and make sound decisions in a fast paced, professional environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a professional and courteous demeanor Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion, professionalism, and diplomacy.
