We are looking for a talented Electrical Controls Tech to join our engineering team in the PM Shift. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing control systems that improve production efficiency, quality, and safety. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to provide technical expertise, troubleshoot issues, and ensure system performance meets company standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement electrical control systems for new and existing equipment.
  • Develop and program PLCs, HMIs, and other automation components to optimize production processes.
  • Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to support equipment upgrades and system enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve electrical and control system issues to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct testing, validation, and commissioning of control systems to ensure functionality and safety.
  • Document control system designs, schematics, procedures, and processes according to industry and company standards.
  • Stay updated on new control technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes to enhance system capabilities.
  • Perform risk assessments and adhere to safety standards during system design and implementation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen Bradley, Siemens) and HMI development.
  • Strong knowledge of control systems, electrical schematics, and automation technologies.
  • Experience with SCADA systems and instrumentation is preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Understanding of safety and quality control standards (e.g., NFPA, OSHA).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of variable frequency drives (VFDs) and servo systems.
  • Familiarity with Ethernet/IP, Modbus, and other industrial communication protocols.
