JOB SUMMARY:
The clinical supervisor/charge nurse is a registered nurse who functions under the direction and supervision of the nurse manager and assumes responsibility for the hospital. The clinical supervisor/charge nurse in collaboration with the nursing leadership team assists to implement, interpret and assure compliance with policies and procedures including regulatory and accreditation standards. The clinical supervisor/charge nurse is the first line support for staff, physicians and other related providers on clinical issues and provides assessment, prioritization and direction of activities to meet the challenging demands of the hospital units. This role also collaborates with the nurse manager on clinical development (employee relations, individual behaviors, physician relationships, etc.) and is the clinical support for the department when the nurse manager is unavailable. The clinical supervisor/charge nurse is responsible for implementing hospital goals and objectives based on budget parameters. The clinical supervisor/charge nurse reinforces the mission and vision of the hospital in all interactions
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduate of accredited registered nurse program with current licensure in the state. Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support required
- Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred
- Minimum of two years of experience in rehabilitative or acute care setting and/or demonstrates leadership ability
- Demonstrated ability to plan, coordinate, evaluate and direct activities of clinical personnel; effective oral and written communication skills, in English with additional languages preferred; proficiency in basic computer skills required.

Qualifications
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited Bachelor of Science in Nursing, Associate Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma program
- Current state licensure as Registered Nurse
- CPR/BCLS certification. ACLS preferred
- CRRN Preferred
- Minimum six months' Medical/Surgical experience in an acute care setting preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
