Assistant Professor of Cybersecurity and Policy Seton Hall University’s Department of Mathematics and Computer Science and the School of Diplomacy and International Relations invite applications for a tenure‑track assistant professor position in cybersecurity and policy to commence in the 2026‑2027 academic year. The position is a joint appointment housed in the College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, with undergraduate and graduate teaching responsibilities each year for Computer Science (3 courses/9 credits) and Diplomacy and International Relations (3 courses/9 credits). Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in computer science related to cybersecurity, government policy related to cyber security, information security, and cyber warfare, and modern statistical research methods/data analysis. Develop and contribute to degree programs in cybersecurity, international, and homeland security. Launch new curriculum in security and conflict analysis. Contribute to the university’s research community and demonstrate potential for advancing scholarship. Engage in service activities expected of faculty in the College of Arts and Sciences. Qualifications Ph.D. in computer science, computer engineering, cybersecurity, political science, or related discipline, completed by appointment (or in hand at the time of appointment). Academic training in public policy or extensive policy experience; OR academic computer science training or extensive technical experience for political science candidates. Proven or substantial potential to teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels. Strong research background or potential for significant academic research in the field of specialization.
