Medical Assistant / Clinical Service Specialist (Per Diem) Location: West Harrison, NY (Westchester Park DR STE 101, Harrison, NY 10604) Compensation $2,500 – $2,700 per hour Schedule & Employment Per diem, up to 20 hours/week with a minimum of 1 shift/month to remain an active team member. Schedule varies Monday through Sunday, 8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. Benefits 401(k) with match up to 4% Employee Referral Bonus Uncapped bonus potential Job Summary Vivo Infusion LLC seeks a motivated and detail‑oriented Medical Assistant/Clinical Service Specialist to support our infusion team in West Harrison, NY. The role focuses on administrative duties, patient scheduling, insurance verification, and providing front‑line patient care. Primary Responsibilities Perform a variety of patient care activities and update patient charts with required information. Communicate pertinent patient data to providers and nurses to ensure quality and continuity of care. Provide administrative and front‑end support: greet patients, assist with scheduling, manage phone calls, and process payments. Oversee and ensure efficient turnover of exam rooms. Assist providers in the exam room as requested and collect, prepare, and submit ordered patient lab specimens. Assist the Patient Services team in obtaining prior authorizations for prescribed treatments. Triage patient phone calls and messages, documenting them appropriately. Disinfect and stock exam rooms, and assist in obtaining records required for the patient's chart. Maintain effective communication and report patient issues as needed throughout the treatment day. Follow company policies and CDC guidelines for infection control. Assist with proper handling and storage of hazardous materials. Maintain confidentiality of all company and patient records in accordance with HIPAA. Communicate schedule changes to the team and assist with rescheduling patients. Manage incoming mail and deliveries. Secondary Responsibilities Assist with proper handling and storage of hazardous materials. Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent required. Medical Assistant Certification strongly preferred. CPR/BLS required. 1 year of experience in a clinical environment. 1 year in an administrative, patient‑facing or customer‑service role. Phlebotomy and lab processing skills preferred. Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills. Intermediate computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and EMR/CSM systems. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules and procedure manuals. Physical Demands & Work Environment Exposure to moving mechanical parts, medical equipment, fumes, airborne particles, and toxic chemicals. Require standing, walking, talking, hearing, and smelling; may also sit, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl. Need use of PPE such as face shield, goggles, non‑slip shoes, gloves, and mask.
