Sr. Technical Program Manager, AWS DC Central Operations Job ID: 3125900 | Amazon Data Services, Inc. As a Sr. Technical Program Manager (TPM) in the Central Operations Repair (COR) team, your responsibilities will focus on driving efficiencies into our service, support, and engineering business models to reduce our marginal costs and optimize service fleet uptime. This role is specifically geared towards improving the stability of our newly landed hardware. You will be a key driver of efforts and strategy geared towards identifying and resolving defects that delay availability of our newest platforms. You will own and manage programs that span multiple organizations and teams. It is expected that these programs require timely execution with the highest degrees of safety, security, performance, availability and reliability. Our ideal candidate is an articulate, motivated, and organized individual with experience in leading global initiatives at an enterprise scale. The role requires the ability to quickly assimilate knowledge spanning numerous technology subjects and apply this to data center projects, products and operations. Key Job Responsibilities Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) and Organizational goals tracking dynamic cross-organizational programs and products. Coordinate effective cross-organizational engagements to drive closure on long standing, complex, and often ambiguous problem sets. Own one or more highly visible, complex, cross-functional projects from end to end; including product definition, roadmap planning, resource planning and project execution. Be Accountable for the overall strategy as well as driving tactical delivery of key deliverables through partner teams and stakeholders. Build and maintain relationships with key owners and stakeholders across teams and organizations. Escalate and engage partner teams and leadership as needed to drive attainment of key program deliverables and objectives. Synthesis large and complex data sources and program details into concise narratives and program status reports. Own regular Business Reviews (xBR's) at appropriate cadence for the topic and audience, with the ability to communicate across different levels in the organization. Be data-driven and understand how to identify the right data points to effectively articulate the What, Why, and How of in scope projects. A Day in the Life A day in the life of a Sr TPM on the COR Fleet Optimization Team is a mix between program management meetings, deep dives, and personal development. They coordinate daily engagements, weekly reporting, annual planning activities, and strategic goal reporting across AWS service offerings and Data Center Operations teams worldwide. Ideal candidates are expected to self‑manage their calendar and ensure that they retain some time every day/week for personal development and projects. Basic Qualifications 5+ years of technical product or program management experience Experience managing programs across cross‑functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules 5+ years of analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentations experience Experience producing executive‑level written materials and presenting to executive audiences Preferred Qualifications Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi‑million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering Experience in analyzing data to drive decisions Compensation Base pay ranges from $133,900 to $231,400 per year, depending on geographic market, plus equity, sign‑on and other benefits.
