A top financial company is seeking a QA Automation Engineer. This client is a leader in the web and mobile spaces.
Responsibilities:

  • Work alongside QA SMEs and Business/Dev/IT leaders to craft and implement automation strategies for multiple platforms and use cases.
  • Directly execute the overall testing automation strategy, especially as it relates to API testing/automation.
  • Learn existing platform built-in testing and validation solutions and leverage. Support QA SMEs and leaders in developing matrix of built-into-platform vs. API or other automation testing techniques.
  • Participate in automation development and execution alongside multiple squads and partners.
  • Collaborate directly with managers and Sr. leaders in Development, Product, internal and external partners to review and address defects with a high degree of presence.
  • Work with Development, Product, and internal business partners to understand how the business operates, build a high degree of understanding of system processes and designs that enable business operations.
  • Identify gaps in the automation testing processes/framework, and work with appropriate individuals to address them.
  • Build out automation solutions that are tailored to the specific need and constraints of platforms.
  • Be an effective communicator, able to build strong competency-based rapport with senior development SMEs and business operations SMEs.
  • Provide guidance to less experienced QA automation personnel.


Qualifications:

  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Exceptional technical skills - Programing background (Python), testing tools (Postman, Newman, & qTest) and custom framework experience
  • Strong and easily conveyed competency in complex resource / workload management
  • Overall passion and commitment to QA/testing automation.
  • 7 or more years of experience, with increasing responsibilities.
  • Bachelors' Degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or other related field of study.
  • Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, concepts, and processes especially in relation to test automation and API testing.
  • Excellent testing skills.
  • Experience developing test automation frameworks is key.
