Technical Product Owner or Product Manager | Health Tech Software

Based in Pittsburgh, this industry-leading software company is a well-established player in the healthcare software space, providing a complex B2B software solution that literally saves lives. They are growing their software solution offering and are looking to bring on an impactful Product Owner to help revamp and revitalize one of their critical products.


You Will:

  • Own and drive the product roadmap, holding accountability for the product strategy that best meets client/user needs
  • Manage the backlog and craft detailed user stories and translate user requests into terminology developers understand
  • Work in an agile environment and participate in Scrum
  • Work with dev to commit backlog items to sprint deliverables (negotiate deliverables)
  • User research (or interpreting UR), parity analysis between products
  • Work hand-in-hand with the Engineering and QA team
  • Work across the org internally and interface heavily with external partners
  • Work onsite in Pittsburgh 1-2 days/week or be open to traveling to the office about one week/month


You Will Need:

  • 4+ years as a Product Owner or Technical Product Manager for a healthcare software solution
  • Heavy user research (or interpreting UR)
  • Client-facing experience
  • Strong knowledge of product management best practices and processes, including product roadmap ownership
  • Experience in Agile, having owned the SDLC
  • SaaS or cloud-based product experience
  • Ability to translate non-technical concepts (like user stories, customer needs, etc) into technical requirements, and communicate well with technical teams
  • Be located in Pittsburgh with the ability to be onsite a few days/week


Plus Skills:

  • Technical degree (Engineering, Computer Science, etc)
  • Previous work as a Software Engineer
  • Product turnaround experience
