About The Role

The Production Scheduling Manager will be responsible for a range of duties related to the day-to-day functions associated with planning, supplies, and manufacture operations in order to meet or exceed milestones as set forth by the manufacturing organization toward customer’s satisfaction.

You will supervise a team of planning specialists, analysts, and other staff members. They develop and implement plans for organizing supply chain and Operation function teams, create and oversee master schedules and calendars, and monitor inventory lists, supply orders & execution progress including WH order processing, assembly, Test, repair and End of Line. They often coordinate schedules, deliveries, and work tasks involving other teams or staff members, and may serve as a liaison among internal units and with external vendors (procurement) and customers (customer ops).

Responsibilities include staffing, training, safety, scheduling, order accuracy, fulfillment Tracking and continuous improvement. The Manufacture Planning Manager is accountable for establishing and managing KPIs to meet the operational goals of the company while achieving best resource efficiency. ZT is in a growth mode and this position will require a leader who can help us define the processes, procedures, and systems necessary to support and sustain our long-term growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Serve as the primary point of contact interfacing the production management, engineering, both upstream and corelated execution departments in support of strategy initiatives and customer demand fulfillment
  • Drive the activities of the data scientists, data analysts, and industrial engineers in the execution of their tasks to support program milestones
  • Author project status, summary, and issue resolution tracking reports which can be used to measure process health and execution efficiency
  • Expedite work orders daily through Warehouse, Productions, Test/Repair and Shipping
  • Be responsible for recruiting and team development with performance appraising, coaching and counseling.
  • Research, design, and implement predictive and prescriptive analysis models
  • Drive ongoing efforts for developing manufacturing scheduling and management tools
  • Establish best practices and new data-driven approaches for solving critical business problems

 What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in supply chain management, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Business, Accounting, Engineer, or equivalent related field experience
  • 8+ years manufacture operation management experience with planning as focus
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Database) and ERP systems like SAP or others
  • Prior experience with SFC, WMS, Lean, and Six Sigma is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail - ability to manage multiple projects/assignments simultaneously.
  • Strong cross-functional and interpersonal communication skills with both written and verbal
  • Time management skills with the ability to prioritize and schedule tasks for the most efficient use of time.
  • Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills such as the ability to question, accurately identify a need, and present an effective solution.
  • Experience with continuous improvement / lean programs
