 The Pediatric Hospital Medicine Division at UH Rainbow Babies and Childrens Hospital is recruiting Pediatric Hospitalist to work in a variety of clinical settings. This is an opportunity to work with a well-established team of physicians providing care from newborns to adolescents across North East Ohio.

Opportunity Highlights:

Full-time and part-time pediatric hospitalist positions are available at Rainbow Babies and Childrens Hospital as well as our satellite hospitals and nurseries.  There are opportunities for positions on the inpatient, general pediatric hospitalist teams as well as positions that combine activities across the full spectrum of PHM care. Clinical activities can be tailored to the interests of the applicant.

PHM faculty at Rainbow Babies and Childrens are institutional leaders in medical education and clinical care. Faculty lead several general inpatient teaching services providing evidence based medical care for acutely ill hospitalized children, complex care patients and surgical co-management. Hospitalist serve in key roles for safety and quality initiatives throughout the health system while providing collaborative care with other subspecialists.

Faculty provide care at several community satellite locations. These locations care for general pediatric inpatients not requiring subspecialty consultation and newborn nursery care including delivery room attendance and special care nursery coverage. All locations provide ample opportunities for teaching a wide variety of learners including PHM fellows, pediatric residents and medical students from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

  • Full time faculty in the Division of PHM provide 1800 hours of clinical service per year.
  • Large group of committed faculty offers flexibility in scheduling
  • Rainbow Babies and Childrens utilizes the Epic electronic health system
  • Academic appointments for faculty are through The Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. Appointment will be commensurate with the academic accomplishments of the candidate.

Qualifications:

  • Candidate qualifications include physicians who are Board Eligible/Board Certified in Pediatrics. Board eligibility/Certification in PHM is preferred but not required for all positions.
