We are open Monday-Friday with no call, holidays, or weekends. This position is primarily located at our Clear Lake location with occasional travel to our Medical Center location. Orbis Surgery Center provides state of the art care to patients with a focus on those with end stage renal disease who require dialysis access care. In this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, comprehensive nursing care to patients in the perioperative setting including the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative recovery areas. Responsibilities * Ensure safe and effective nursing care from pre-op to recovery. * Gather clinical information prior to procedures including patient assessments and patient history. * Provide ongoing patient information to the interventionist/surgeon and clinical team during procedures including but not limited to cardiac monitoring, Aldrete score, pain status, and patient vital signs. * Coordinate and oversee the OR during a case as the circulating RN. * Maintain radiation safety when C-Arm is in use in the procedure room. * Facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures. * Manage the patient's care and medication, including assisting with anesthesia and administering conscious sedation as monitoring RN. * Consistently review charts for completeness in accordance with documentation protocols prior to and after the surgical procedure. * Observe all OSHA and radiation safety monitoring policies. Consistent, regular, punctual attendance as scheduled is an essential responsibility of this position. Qualifications * ADN degree from accredited school of nursing required; BSN preferred. * Valid RN State of Texas License or Compact License * BLS certification required * ACLS certification preferred
