Job Description:

The Mechanical Design Engineer is responsible to design mechanical systems as required for all projects that are assigned to them by the manager of engineering. Will be responsible to manage all design aspects of the project from conception to completion with minimal assistance from senior staff members. Also responsible to draft the design on AutoCAD. This position will require some travelling and essentially will be required to be on the construction site, in some cases at least once a week. Expected to conduct multiple projects simultaneously and conduct project meetings with owners and contractors.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or similar.
2. MEP firm experience.
3. AutoCAD experience.
4. EIT/FE preferred but not required.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Develop, monitor and control project scope, project schedule, budget and resources within the customers’ established guidelines in order to meet or exceed the customers’ expectation.
2. Obtain, diagnose and respond to specific customer needs that will enhance the quality of customers’ service and satisfaction for a mutually beneficial relationship.
3. Initiate, complete and deliver all related project documentation, reports in order to maintain and achieve the established project goals.
4. Promote services to existing customer base while conducting services for them.
5. Identify and initiate key design issues and solutions in the beginning of projects.
