This includes the management and operational oversight of the following programs: Young Athletes, Little Elites, Motor Activity Program (MATP), Rising Stars, and Unified Champion Schools (UCS).Qualifications:BS/BA degree in Education, Business, Exercise and Sports Science, Physical Therapy or related field preferred.Excellent written and presentation skillsExcellent communication and organizational skillsAbility to take initiative and work independentlyAbility to work collaboratively as part of a teamAbility to manage multiple individuals, tasks and demonstrate efficient time management skillsStrong interpersonal skillsStrong database management skillsGrant management experienceStrong budgeting and forecasting experienceProficient computer skills including knowledge of Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPointRegular attendance requiredResponsibilities:Provide strategic direction and operational oversight and management to all Developmental Sports Program StaffDirect oversight of Unified Champion Schools and Developmental Sports Program budget reporting for all relevant grants and funding sources including but not limited to the Special Olympics North America (SONA) and Department of Education (DOE) grants.Develop growth strategy to increase participation and retention of all Special Olympics Florida Unified Champion Schools and Developmental Sports Program offerings while ensuring quality metrics are consistently metCollaborate with Sr. Director of Sports and Operations to ensure consistent communication between Developmental Sports Program staff and Senior Manager of Unified Champion Schools, Health & FitnessDirect oversight of monthly, mid-term, and final reporting as well as the application process for applicable grantsEnsure all goals as outlined in applicable grant applications are consistently achieved and exceededLead the development of strategies to transition Developmental Sports Programs to community-based programsOther duties as assignedSpecial Requirements:Must be able to travel and complete weekend and evening duties as assignedMust be able to lift 50 lbs.Statewide travel (15-20%)Must have valid driver’s license and good driving recordStatus : Full-time exempt positionSalary : Based on experienceSeniority levelSeniority levelDirectorEmployment typeEmployment typeFull-timeJob functionJob functionEducation and TrainingIndustriesNon-profit OrganizationsReferrals increase your chances of interviewing at Special Olympics Florida by 2xSign in to set job alerts for “School Programs Director” roles.We’re unlocking community knowledge in a new way.
