Team Leader

Team Leader – Wild Fork When becoming a Team Leader at Wild Fork, you will support store leadership by overseeing daily operations, delegating tasks, monitoring the team's performance, and ensuring the store objectives are met. You will foster collaboration within the team and bring innovative strategies to increase productivity. By thinking like customers and acting like owners, you will provide a Personal Chef experience to all guests and train the sales leaders to do the same. Responsibilities Deliver a Wild Fork Personal Chef shopping experience to all customers and ensure all team members have the knowledge and confidence to deliver best‑in‑class customer service. Be a subject‑matter expert in all product categories, cascade knowledge to team members, and serve as a Brand Ambassador partnering with Customer Service and QA on complaints. Ensure all employees adhere to company policies and guidelines. Conduct on‑the‑job training for all new joiners, including onboarding, online learning, product knowledge, and tool usage. Collaborate with the SSL to schedule two weeks of shadowing and training for new joiners. Lead continuous training programs and promote full participation in initiatives such as Chew on This, Wild Chef, and new process training. Attend marketing and new product training calls and ensure employees receive detailed information on upcoming campaigns and products. Collaborate with the SSL to evaluate employee performance and identify training needs. Supervise and motivate Sales Leaders with humility and initiative. Assist the SSL in planning and implementing local marketing strategies to attract customers. Coordinate daily customer service operations (sales, orders, inventory) and monitor KPIs and store performance. Support the SSL as cover, checking sales, KPIs, inventory, money handling, marketing updates, pricing, and operational tasks. Maintain accurate inventory knowledge and communicate stock status to the team and customers. Execute other related duties as assigned. Physical Demands and Work Environment Physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force. Occasional exposure to extreme temperatures, e.g., walk‑in freezers. Stand or walk for up to 8‑10 hours. Frequent movement within the store to access various departments, areas, and products. Qualifications High school degree or GED preferred (not required). One year of customer service experience in retail, hospitality, or restaurant (required). Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to engage with a wide range of people. Enjoy interacting and engaging with customers and team members. Ability to multitask while maintaining flexibility to meet business needs. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Work with integrity as part of a team toward a shared vision, respecting others’ opinions. Takes initiative and collaborates with the SSL on new ideas. Ability to retain product knowledge, train, and lead people. Enthusiasm and passion for food and customer service preferred. Systems capabilities preferred: SAP, Order Management Systems, Microsoft Office. Previous retail supervisory experience preferred. EOE/including disability/vets.
