### Pharmacy Technician - Future Role

**About the Role:**


Strategic Innovations Consulting LLC is preparing for future staffing needs and is currently seeking talent for the position of Pharmacy Technician. This proactive recruitment effort aims to create a pool of qualified candidates for an upcoming role. The Pharmacy Technician will play a vital role in supporting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, ensuring exceptional patient care and efficient pharmacy operations.


**Key Responsibilities:**


- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications.

- Accurately measure, count, and label prescription medications.

- Maintain patient records, including prescription histories and insurance information.

- Process prescription orders and handle billing and insurance claims.

- Manage inventory, including ordering, stocking, and monitoring pharmaceutical supplies.

- Communicate with healthcare providers to clarify prescription orders and verify patient information.

- Provide patient education on medication usage, potential side effects, and storage.

- Perform routine pharmacy tasks such as answering phone calls, greeting customers, and handling transactions.

- Maintain cleanliness and organization within the pharmacy.

- Comply with all regulatory and safety standards, including HIPAA regulations.


**Ideal Candidate:**


- Proven experience as a pharmacy technician or in a relevant pharmaceutical role.

- Proficiency in pharmacy management software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

- Strong written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.

- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.

- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

- Familiarity with pharmaceutical terminology and procedures.

- Discretion and confidentiality.


**Qualifications:**


- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a pharmacy technician or in a similar role.

- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in pharmacy technology will be a plus.

- Experience with various pharmaceutical tools and platforms is desirable.

- Associate’s degree or completion of a pharmacy technician program preferred but not required.
