Research and Development Systems Technician

Advantage Technical is currently seeking a Research and Development Systems Technician for a position in Waltham, MA. Pay: $44 per hour Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Key Responsibilities Assist in developing, validating, and executing test methods to support product and system verification activities. Perform product characterization and analysis on new and incoming devices to ensure functionality, safety, and compliance. Support troubleshooting of new products and manufacturing processes by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions. Maintain a clean, organized laboratory, ensure equipment readiness, and adhere to safety and quality protocols. Prepare and maintain clear, detailed technical documentation and standardized reports for internal engineering teams. Uphold a strong commitment to patient safety and product quality by following the company's Quality Policy, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications & Skills High School Diploma with 5+ years of experience in medical device R&D or related technical roles. Proven ability to work independently on complex technical tasks requiring critical thinking, problem-solving, and initiative. Skilled in identifying, defining, and resolving technical issues using a structured, analytical approach. Strong written and verbal communication skills for documenting and presenting technical data. Experience with laboratory testing, instrumentation, or product verification in a regulated environment (medical device experience preferred). Working knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), validation protocols, and quality systems. Proficiency in data collection and analysis, including Microsoft Excel and similar tools.
