ReconCraft is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our vessel manufacturing team. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of machinery, equipment, and facilities to support production activities. In addition to general maintenance tasks, the ideal candidate will possess experience maintaining welding machines, have knowledge of building systems repairs, and have experience with snorkel lifts, scissor lifts, and general manufacturing machinery.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Perform and track routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment, including but not limited to lubrication, cleaning, and inspection.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance procedures to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Repair or replace defective parts, components, or systems using hand and power tools.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, equipment manuals, and inventory tooling/consumables.
  • Collaborate with production personnel to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruptions to manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement or optimization.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist in the installation, modification, or relocation of machinery and equipment as needed.
  • Provide training and guidance to other maintenance staff as required.
  • Perform welding tasks on machinery or equipment as needed.
  • Operate cranes and forklifts safely and efficiently for material handling tasks.
  • Conduct building repairs and maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, and structural repairs.
  • Utilize experience with snorkel lifts and scissor lifts for maintenance tasks and equipment positioning.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical circuits, and hydraulic systems.

Work Experience:

Maintenance Technician will have 5-10 years' experience in a maintenance technician role maintaining fabrication and manufacturing equipment including welders, saws, air tools, snorkel lifts, scissor lifts, and cranes. Candidates will have demonstrated experience performing mechanical and electrical trouble shooting and maintenance with the ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.

Essential Job Requirements:

  • Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
    • High School Diploma (GED) or equivalent.
    • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
    • Must be able to pass background check.
    • Proficiency using hand and power tools for repair and maintenance tasks.
    • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and adhere to standard safety and quality control procedures.
    • Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention-to-detail.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Flexibility to work overtime, weekends, or on-call as needed.

  • Physical Requirements:

  • Ability lift 50lbs from the floor.
  • Standing for long period of time, climbing up and down ladders, bending, grasping, sitting, pulling, pushing, stooping, and stretching are generally required.
  • Ability to work long hours, when required, to meet deadlines and other deliverables.

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Education/Experience/Knowledge/Skills:
    • Maintenance or technician training certificates
    • Associates degree in mechanical or electrical field
    • Demonstrated ability to maintain maintenance logs/documentation

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform other tasks consistent with the goals and objectives of the company, department, and contract.
  • Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
