Sales Representative

SNELLING STAFFING IS WORKING WITH A MACOMB COUNTY PRECISION ENGINEERING AND PRODUCTION COMPANY IN A SEARCH FOR A SALES REPRESENTATIVE.

This DIRECT HIRE role is a great opportunity for someone with 3-7 years of manufacturing sales experience. Option of a base salary + commission, or a higher base salary with no commission. Limited travel, mileage reimbursement.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Obtain new business to achieve the company's 5 year strategic plan.
Meet with and maintain relationships with all customers and direct suppliers.
Organize all information relevant to an assigned project/quote to receive recommendations based on analysis by management team.
Maintain and work on customers specific ERP systems to receive and answer any quotes.
Compile and submit all data required for quotations to be submitted to requesting customer.
Directing and coordinating all sales activities locally and regionally as directed.
Work with finance to ensure the sales assumptions for the 5 year plan are aligned.
Work closely with General Manager & Plant Manager along with the management team to develop strategies to obtain new business, retain customers and resolve issues effectively with each customer.
Manage special projects as required.
Benchmark company’s capabilities and financial results against competitors.
Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
Work with all company departments to receive proper information for current and new programs.

Specific Position Knowledge, and Abilities Required

High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult.
Highly developed oral and written communication skills.
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
Ability to organize and plan effectively.
Computer literacy including spreadsheet and word processing.
1-7 years of previous experience in Sales.

Education: Minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Organization Development, or a related field or equivalent training.
