**The starting pay range for this position begins at $15-16/hour and is based on the level of qualifications and relevant experience above the minimum requirements. Transportation assistance available.**

* Full Time: a position averaging 35+ hours a week.

Housekeepers must be able to clean guest rooms to the expected standards, speed requirements, and detailed cleanliness level while offering exceptional guest service. Associates will work in a team atmosphere. Duties include: upkeep and presentation of rooms and other locations as assigned; dusting, vacuuming, polishing furniture, and sanitizing bathrooms; and responsibility for amenity replenishment. Duties may also include deep cleaning projects and/or floor care within areas as required. Attendants will also offer general assistance and support for the department, leadership, and the company.

**Weekend availability is required for this position. Starting pay begins at $16.00/hour based on previous hotel housekeeping experience.** **Shifts may vary, but are generally: Monday - Saturday 8:00am - 4:00pm and Sunday 8:30am - 4:30pm (based on hotel occupancy)**

**Essential Job Duties:**

1. Accept and complete daily assignments while maintaining proper time management skills and exceptional performance.

2. Proper storage, replacement and placement of guest room amenities and linens.

3. Make up beds in guest rooms following standards; dust and vacuum guest rooms.

4. Proper storage and usage of cleaning chemicals maintaining safety measures.

5. Cleaning and sanitizing of guest bathrooms, mirrors and windows, using proper chemicals.

6. Emptying trash and disposing of properly.

7. Remove cap from used water bottles and place plastic bottle in recycle bag on cart.

8. Stocking and cleaning housekeeping cart.

9. Deep cleaning the rooms as necessary.

**Requirements:**

- Previous experience in a similar custodial/janitorial/housekeeping position is required. The ideal candidate will have had six (6) months of previous housekeeping experience in an upscale/luxury hotel or resort.

- Commitment to delivering world class guest service and the ability to work successfully as part of a dynamic, guest-service oriented team.

- Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to perform essential job functions with speed and accuracy.

- Strong organizational and time management skills.

- Ability to handle/operate safely small commercial cleaning equipment, chemicals, solutions, and treatments.

- Ability to be proactive and take initiative as appropriate.

- Should be able to anticipate and understand guest needs.

- Ability to work independently and under deadlines, and exercise good judgment.

**Physical Requirements:** *This position will require a physical exam at the Biltmore Clinic prior to starting work. An offer of employment is conditional upon the successful completion of this examination.*

- Lift, carry, push and pull 2550 pounds frequently.

- Ability to climb stairs and ladders.

- Endure various physical movements throughout work areas and over duration of work shift such as kneeling, bending, stooping, reaching overhead, etc.

- Ability to work in an environment that may include:

- Variable conditions and noise levels

- Outdoor environments with fluctuations in temperature and weather conditions

- Exposure to fumes, dust and chemicals, moving mechanical parts
