The Food & Beverage Host is responsible for you will be the friendly face of our organization, providing excellent customer service and creating an inviting atmosphere for our guests. Your main goal is to provide a positive experience for both our guests and team members. Your strong organizational skills and attention to detail will ensure that the establishment runs smoothly and efficiently. In addition, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and organized front-of-house area.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Take reservations, set up room seating chart and room flow to accommodate daily needs for guests.
- Greet guests and show them to dining tables.
- Present menu & wine menu, information regarding specials, soup and introduce server.
- Take orders and enter orders into the system, collect and record payments.
- Inspect dining and serving areas to ensure cleanliness and proper setup.
- Speak with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service, respond to complaints, and thank guests as they are leaving.
- Answer restaurant telephone line during assigned hours of operation.
- Other duties as assigned.
In addition to the other duties described herein, each Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations.
- Attend required training sessions offered by the Company.
- Obtain and retain required license(s).
- Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations.
- Take the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco.
- Have knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member's department.
- Have knowledge of the Property's programs to address problem gaming.
- Report any acts of wrongdoing of which the Team Member may have knowledge.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Six months fast food service or restaurant service experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.
- The ability to lift, push and pull up to 25-50 pounds.
Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations: Virginia Racing Commission License
Valid Driver's License with a minimum of three (3) years driving experience.
