OverviewThe Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking a Principal Advisory Consultant to shape and transform how enterprises leverage cloud technology. This strategic role will influence leaders across industries, market segments, and technical domains to drive transformative business outcomes. As a Principal-level advisor, you will identify patterns across customers, develop new architectural patterns, and create innovative capabilities that define the future of cloud adoption. Possessing a deep understanding of AWS products and services, you will architect complex, scalable, and secure solutions tailored to meet customer needs, gather requirements, assess current infrastructure, and propose effective migration strategies to AWS. You will act as a trusted advisor, providing guidance on industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovative solutions while leading the implementation process and managing risks throughout the project.ResponsibilitiesDrive significantly complex technical initiatives and strategic business transformations across industries and market segmentsLead the creation and delivery of novel technical services, capabilities, or industry-level solutions used globallyIdentify patterns across customers and develop new architectural patterns and design principles that become industry standardsCultivate strategic relationships with senior leaders and serve as a trusted advisor on transformative initiativesShape the evolution of platform service features and create new offerings that maximize emerging technology impactDrive strategic sales opportunities from inception to closure at the executive levelCreate scalable mechanisms and lead new initiatives that transform how customers adopt cloud technologiesProvide widely recognized technical thought leadership through industry presentations and executive engagementsMentor and develop leaders while growing a culture of collaboration, empathy, and inclusionBalance risk and quality while creating mechanisms to address recurring escalation patternsQualifications8+ years of experience in cloud architecture and implementationBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; Master’s preferred5+ years of enterprise cloud transformation initiatives involving C-suite executives with at least 1 project in Financial Services, IT, Telecommunications, Media, Healthcare, Manufacturing, or Retail5+ years of experience implementing technology solutions with outcomes such as minimum 15% cost reduction or $1M+ annual revenue growth per project across 3+ enterprise initiatives5+ years of experience working cross-functionally with teams of 10+ members across multiple organizationsPreferred: AWS experience with a broad range of services; AWS Professional certifications; experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python); knowledge of security and compliance standards; strong communication skills; expertise in emerging technologies like Generative AI and enterprise applicationsAbout the TeamAWS Professional Services (ProServe) is a global team of experts helping customers realize business outcomes using the AWS Cloud.
