We are seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse with Neonatal Transport experience for an RN Unit Supervisor position at our Level IV NICU at Inova Fairfax Hospital/ Inova L.J Children's Hospital. Schedule: Full time-Day Shift (3x12 shifts); includes weekends and holidays. Successful candidates will have a minimum of five (5) years of Neonatal transport and some previous leadership experience.
The Inova Unit Supervisor serves as a front-line leader who is accountable for delivering highly reliable results related to quality and best practices to improve the clinical operations of the unit.
- Embraces, uses, and understands the research behind nursing practice and quality tools.
- Supports unit based shared governance and decentralized decision-making structures and processes.
- Acts as a role model who leads by example in delivering "Service Always" and in making patient experience a priority on units of responsibility.

Job Requirements:
- One year of nursing experience is required
- Leadership experience is highly desired-to include charge or supervisory
- Degree from an accredited school of nursing, BSN, or ADN within one year of BSN completion
- RN License to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- BLS for Healthcare Provider certification is required from AHA
- Specialty certification (as required by unit) within one year from date of hire.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
