About the Role:

Title : DC Migration Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Data Center Migration Engineer to play a pivotal role in our data center migration and consolidation efforts.
Working closely with Application Owners, Application Architects, and Infrastructure Engineers, you will contribute significantly to the planning and execution of our migration strategy.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with technical teams to assess existing Data Center infrastructure configurations and platforms (Compute, Storage, Network, etc.), and develop optimal migration approaches and plans.
Provide high-level technical architecture expertise and coordinate with technical teams throughout the data center consolidation/migration process.
Demonstrate strong technical proficiency with VMware, Server, and Storage technologies, including configuration and management.
Oversee the technical aspects of infrastructure consolidation/migration projects, ensuring smooth execution and minimal disruption.
Conduct thorough assessments and documentation of infrastructure-to-application dependencies.
Develop detailed technical migration plans and manage their implementation, tracking milestones and identifying dependencies.
Assist in planning change activities associated with consolidation/migration initiatives.
Execute data center infrastructure consolidation/migration activities efficiently and effectively.


Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience in data center migration, relocation, or consolidation projects.
Expertise in VMware SRM, Server, and Storage technologies, with a strong focus on configuration and management.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess complex technical environments and develop effective migration strategies.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Experience in project management and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Relevant certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional) are a plus.

Location : Dallas TX (2-3 days/Week) This position may require occasional travel to CO, VA and flexibility in working hours to accommodate migration activities.

Salary Range: The salary for this position is between $100,000 to $110,000 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
