We are looking to add a General Liability Attorney to our Chicago office as we continue to grow the firm.Position OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated General Liability Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in defending clients against personal injury claims and general liability cases. This position involves representing clients in court, providing legal advice, and developing defense strategies to protect our clients' interests. 1950 billable hours.Key ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in litigation and court proceedings related to general liability and personal injury claims.Conduct legal research and prepare legal documents, including pleadings and motions.Develop and implement defense strategies for clients facing liability claims.Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients and communicate effectively with opposing counsel.Provide expert legal advice to clients regarding liability issues and potential risks.1950 billable hoursQualificationsJuris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Licensure in Illinois required; licensure in Indiana/Wisconsin is a huge plus2+ years of experience in IL Defense work (within last 3 years)Familiarity with billing requirementsStrong understanding of liability law and related legal procedures.Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.BenefitsBase Salary: $115K-$140K (DOE)Bonus Potential (Origination, Hours)Health Insurance - Firm Pays 80%Life InsuranceLon-term disabilityVoluntary DentalVoluntary VisionMaternity/Parental Leave BenefitPTO/Vacation - 40 Hours of Vacation Credit time per billing period.401kEmail Your Resume In Word ToLooking forward to receiving your resume through our website and going over the position with you.
