Professional Liability/General Liability Attorney - Associate Salary Range: $120,000 to $230,000 annually (DOE). Base pay range: $120,000.00/yr - $230,000.00/yr. Position Description We are seeking general liability and professional liability litigation associates at all levels of experience. Responsibilities Defending clients in a broad range of general liability and/or professional liability matters Investigating claims and defenses, analyzing liability and damages, and developing case handling strategies Conducting legal research and analysis Drafting letters, memos, motions, and pleadings Preparing discovery requests/responses and taking/defending depositions Representing clients at court conferences, hearings, mediations, and trial/arbitration Regularly communicating with partners, associates, paralegals, clients and opposing counsel 1850 billable hours Skills & Requirements Juris Doctor from an ABA accredited law school Current California bar admission, in good standing 3+ years of experience with general liability and/or professional liability litigation Excellent writer with attention to detail Must be a team player with exceptional personal interaction skills and responsiveness Self‑starter with strong organizational skills and the ability to multi‑task and thrive in a fast‑paced environment Understanding of current state and federal procedures Must be comfortable handling court appearances and experience participating in depositions and mediations Trial experience is preferred, but not required Benefits Annual Subjective Bonus, Annual Business Origination Bonus, Annual Objective Bonus for Hours Billed over 1850, Annual 401(k) Contributions by the Firm, Annual Profit‑Sharing Contributions by the Firm, Wellness Benefit Reimbursement, Cell Phone/Internet Stipend, Paid Parking/Transportation, Unlimited Paid Time Off (PTO), 11 Paid Firm Holidays, Paid Jury Duty, Paid Maternity, Paternity, Catastrophic Disability Leave, Paid Life Insurance, Paid Long Term Disability Insurance, Flexible Spending Accounts for Health Care and Dependent Care, Paid Bar Dues, Paid/Firm‑Sponsored Continuing Legal Education to meet State requirements, Employee Assistance Program.
