Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond?What You Will Do:Columbus Forge Disks is looking for a Manager, Production Planning to support the module center as part of the Nickel Powder Value Stream. The Manager, Production Planning will own the creation and maintenance of production schedules related to key manufacturing processes throughout the value stream and providing feedback through the integrated product teams as it relates to manufacturing inhibitors, and the impact to the supply plan (production schedule) supporting customer demand.The Manager, Production Planning will champion cost avoidance, inventory optimization, proactive escalation to long lead constraints, production schedule reconciliation, and cross functional engagement to ensure the internal team is aligned in support of high customer service levels.Report to the site Production Planning Manager, will interact and collaborate with the SIOP teams, IPT teams, Production Chiefs, Quality, Supply Chain Procurement, Operations, Finance, and Engineering, on a regular and frequent basis. The individual must embrace CORE, which is Pratt & Whitney's Operating System; additionally, champion lean manufacturing and excel in a team environment with high-performance expectations.Understand forecast / planned Customer demand, forecast / planned production supply, material available-to-promise analysis, production clear-to-build analysis, Validate schedule to capacity, support the implementation of Kinaxis Rapid Response within the module centerDevelop a cadence to investigating supply plan supportability in support of delivering Customer demand on time in-full.Look after the work order release in line with Build requirement; perform supply plan reconciliation upon identification of manufacturing inhibitors; handle the escalation process when a deviation from plan occurs.Work alongside; operators, production schedulers, materials and equipment to ensure on time in full delivery to all customers.Optimize planning parameters to achieve plan and inventory targets; participate in the Supply Review meetings. Review MPS with Manufacturing, Programs, Demand Planning, Procurement and associated representativesQualifications You Must Have: Bachelor's Degree and minimum 8 years experience in an engineering, manufacturing, materials, operations management, program/project management or supply chain environment or an Associate's Degree and minimum 10 years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, materials, operations management, program/project management or supply chain environmentIn absence of a degree, 12 years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, materials, operations management, program/project management or supply chain environmentExperience in production control and/or materials planning, inventory management & delivery assuranceU.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contractQualifications We Prefer:Demonstrated experience using SAP and analytical skills to drive resultsDemonstrated experience leveraging strong operational background, leveraging internal customer focus, relationship development and communication skills for continuous improvement, business and team successCORE or equivalent certification including process maturity development and root cause corrective action methods and toolsLearn More & Apply NowIn addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
