Job Summary:Alpitronic, a leader in electric vehicle (EV) charging technology, is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Application Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Application Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting our customers and ensuring the successful deployment of our cutting-edge EV charging solutions. Specifically, the candidate will, together with the sales department, support customers in the selection and planning of charging infrastructure projects to find the optimal solution. In addition, the candidate will take part in interoperability testing activities to ensure compatibility between our products and relevant vehicles in the market.Responsibilities:Interoperability ValidationOCPP 1.6 and OCPP 2.0.1: Ensure that backend systems and charge points are compatible and functioning correctly with these Open Charge Point Protocol versions.DIN70121 and ISO15118: Validate the interoperability of vehicles and charging infrastructure with these standards, focusing on Autocharge and Plug and Charge functionalities.Technical and Project SupportApplication and Sales Support: Utilize Web and PC tools to provide technical support and application assistance during the sales process.Product Delivery and Installation: Support pre and post-sales activities, including product delivery, installation, commissioning, and handover.TroubleshootingSystematic Approach: Use techniques like data mining, system log analysis, and performance testing to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with chargers.Reproduction and Isolation: Conduct tests to replicate and isolate issues, then develop solutions to address them.Technical Sales and Client RelationshipsCustomer Liaison: Maintain effective relationships with customers to understand their needs and ensure a positive experience throughout the sales process.Technical Sales Role: Build and maintain relationships with prospective clients, providing technical support and insights to drive sales.RFI and RFP Support: Review and provide inputs on Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) technical specifications.Influencing Specifications: Contribute to shaping technical specifications for product positioning and applications.Cross-Functional CollaborationInternal Coordination: Work closely with product management, engineering, finance, and operations teams to ensure alignment on goals and execution plans.Travel and RepresentationCustomer Engagement: Travel to customer locations, trade shows, and potentially international destinations to represent Alpitronic and engage with customers.Key Relationships: Visit and build relationships with key personnel at Alpitronic globally.Qualifications & Skills:Educational BackgroundDegree: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent related experience in EV charging industry.ExperienceExperience: Minimum of 2 years in a related field, preferably in application engineering within electrical or power electronics industries.Digital Hardware Knowledge: Awareness of digital hardware, power electronics control, and circuit theory is beneficial.Communication ProtocolsProtocols: Basic understanding of communication protocols such as TCP/IP, CAN bus, and Modbus.Testing and DocumentationProduct Testing: Experience in structured testing of R&D products before field deployment, including documenting findings and providing feedback for improvements.Customer Requirements AssessmentFeasibility Assessment: Ability to assess customer-specific requirements and translate them into user stories for product development.Passion for SustainabilitySustainability: Demonstrated passion for sustainable technologies.Industry ExperienceEV or Solar Industry: Experience in the electric vehicle (EV) or solar industry is highly desirable.Presentation and CommunicationPresentation Skills: Good presentation skills and successful project management experience.Effective Communicator: Self-starter with strong communication skills, passionate about their role, and committed to teamwork and achieving results. #J-18808-Ljbffr
