We're growing fast and looking for a hands-on Applications Engineer who enjoys solving real-world challenges, supporting customers, and bridging the gap between engineering and sales.
Job Summary
The Applications Engineer provides technical support and expertise to customers and the sales team. This role involves understanding customer applications, configuring and implementing Kuebler products, and ensuring successful integration into customer systems. You'll collaborate with sales, engineering, and product development teams to help drive innovation and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
Application Support
- Listen to customer needs and identify the right Kübler solutions
- Provide second-level support for sales engineers and distributors
- Participate in customer calls and virtual meetings to assist with applications and troubleshooting
- Travel to customer sites (approx. 2–5 days/month) for demos, testing, and implementation support
- Collaborate with Kübler's electrical and controls engineers to ensure proper system integration
- Cross-train with internal technical staff to cover support needs when others are out
- Participate in U.S. product development discussions and monthly meetings
Training & Development
- Within 1–2 years, take the lead on all partner and internal product trainings
- Develop structured internal and external training programs
- Create simple video tutorials for partners, focusing on product knowledge and application best practices
- Track progress and skill development across the sales and technical teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field preferred
- 2+ years of experience in applications, field engineering, or technical support within automation or motion control industries
- Strong understanding of industrial sensors, encoders, PLCs, and motion systems
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; experience with CRM or ERP systems a plus
- Excellent communication and presentation skills

Working Conditions
- Hybrid role: 2–3 days per week in the Charlotte office
- Travel: Approx. 2–5 days per month (domestic travel to customer sites)
- Office and lab environments with occasional factory or field visits
- Must be able to lift light equipment and travel with demo materials as needed
