Expectation of Time: Part Time; 20 hoursCompensation: $22-$30 per hour, based on experienceReports To: Board of DirectorsLocation: Locally based organization in the Milo Grogan Neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio with flexible remote work available.Organizational OverviewCultivate is a Community Development Corporation that exists to be a collaborative community resource by joyfully partnering with residents and community stakeholders to know neighbors; foster local leadership; and ensure a vibrant neighborhood for all.Position SummaryThe Executive Director will be primarily responsible for implementing the vision, mission and strategy that is set by the Board of Directors. The Executive Director will be responsible for leading any staff, organizing volunteers, developing and implementing programming, and ensuring financial sustainability for Cultivate CDC.Primary ResponsibilitiesServe as the primary public representative of the organizationExecute the organization’s strategy and stated initiatives, as set by boardBuild and invest relationally into the residents of Milo Grogan, understanding needs, desires, and strengths of the communityOversee the planning and execution of organization’s programming, including management of the Milo Green Space and leadership of community building eventsProvide consistent and excellent communication to board of directors, including monthly and annual reporting, financial tracking, and timely updatesMaintain working relationship with core organizational partners, being able to refer residents to appropriate resourcesDesired SkillsEvent planning and volunteer organizationAbility to recruit and manage a committed volunteer baseCommitment to identifying and developing new leadership within the communityCompetency in grant writing and the ability to assist with funding proposalsProficiency in QuickBooks with the ability to accurately manage financial data and reportingDesired ExperienceA bachelor’s degree in social work, sociology, political science, non-profit management, or related field.1+ years experience working with developing neighborhoods.Demonstrated ability to manage operations and work with a Board of DirectorsProven track record in nonprofit fundraising and grant administration.Additional InformationSeniority level: DirectorEmployment type: Part-timeJob function: Business Development and SalesIndustries: Civic and Social Organizations #J-18808-Ljbffr
