We are a team of consultants, engineers, designers, and construction professionals dedicated to life safety and fire protection in the built environment.This role, within the SLS division of SOCOTEC, seeks dependable, proactive applicants committed to continuous improvement.Senior Associates will design and develop Life Safety and Fire Protection systems that integrate seamlessly with other building systems to ensure safety and code compliance. Responsibilities include plan reviews, technical reports, egress design, code research, smoke control system design, fire-resistant construction analysis, performance-based design, fire sprinkler design, and hazardous material analysis.Successful candidates will demonstrate strong communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills, attention to detail, and superior problem-solving abilities to support team efficiency and exceed client expectations.Key responsibilities include:Managing projects independently with supporting staffManaging assigned tasks and project budgets throughout all phasesDeveloping project scope and pricing for proposalsPreparing monthly invoicing and assisting with AR follow-upMentoring and training supporting AssociatesPerforming project deliverables such as code reports, plan reviews, on-site inspections, performance-based designs, hazardous material analyses, and special inspectionsPerforming other duties as assigned by supervisors or managersMinimum qualifications include:Bachelor’s degree in engineering or architecture3 to 6 years of relevant Fire Protection and Life Safety experienceEngineering in Training (EIT) certification and/or Professional Engineer’s License (P.E.) preferredExperience with Bluebeam, AutoCAD, REVIT, Microsoft Suite encouragedExperience with CONTAM, Pyrosim, FDS, and/or PathFinder desirableExceptional analytical skills and attention to detailExcellent communication and teamwork skillsSOCOTEC offers competitive compensation, including salary, benefits, and bonuses based on experience.
