Open up opportunities with HPE.Job DescriptionEdge Server Market OverviewThis role will focus upon serving the edge server market, a rapidly expanding segment of the technology industry. An edge server is a server that is positioned at the edge of a network, closer to where data is being generated and consumed by users and devices. This contrasts with a traditional server architecture, where data is typically processed in a centralized data center or the cloud. By processing data closer to its source, edge servers enable real-time analytics, lower latency, faster decision-making, and lower bandwidth costs. Key drivers include the proliferation of IoT devices, the rollout of 5G networks, and the increasing demand for real-time applications such as autonomous vehicles, smart cities, and industrial automation. The market is also fueled by the need for enhanced security, as data travels a shorter distance and is exposed to fewer potential risks. The edge server market is segmented by application, form factor, and end-user industries. North America currently holds the largest market share, with significant investment from major cloud service providers and robust digital infrastructure. The Asia-Pacific region is projected to experience the highest growth rates due to IoT and 5G. This role would primarily pick up and extend the existing HPE Edgeline portfolio of products.ResponsibilitiesLeads and drives the end-to-end strategy and operational product roadmap for a productDefines the value proposition, target customer segments, and business case to bring one or more innovative and disruptive products to market with respect to the whole company product portfolio (i.e. Product configuration mix, Revenue/Margins, financials, market share)Synthesizes market requirements (MRD) into marketing/customer details through intimate customer knowledge and business, financial and industry market acumenAdvises key stakeholders on the portfolio strategy across all phases of the lifecycle (e.g., planning, development, launch, management, exit)Creates goal alignment and collaborates across value chain partners to optimize margins and enable success of product plans across the product lifecycle (Engineering: product development; Supply Chain: SKUs, inventory; Marketing: marketing and pricing strategies and Go to Market Plan)Education And Experience RequiredBachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or another STEM field.
